A precious family heirloom
Since 1990, Philippe CHAVY has meticulously tended the vineyards left to him by his parents – Odile ROPITEEAU and Albert CHAVY.
This calling was a natural progression for Philippe who – from an early age – spent most of his time in the vines.
Philippe confides: “my parents showed me the way and thanks to them today I oversee some of the finest appellations in the Cote de Beaune. I’m so proud of this legacy and consider it my duty to enhance it, to respect the terroirs and to express them in the purest possible way”. Philippe and his wife Graziella hope to turn over this fine legacy to their sons, Marius and Ulysse.
Rural common sense
Managing 6 hectares, Philippe can count on a wealth of “savoir-faire” acquired over the years and he trusts his innate rural commonsense.
As a Custodian of tradition, firmly rooted in the present but ready for the future, Philippe is passionate about - and never far from - his vines. Graziella assists him with the administration and sales aspects.
Philippe’ s aim is to produce wholesome, easy-to-drink white wines displaying all the finesse and richness of the Chardonnay grape with as little intervention as possible – neither pumping nor manhandling.
