- Description of the appellation :
- The name” donkey’s back “refers to the geography of this vineyard, which lies high above Puligny and Meursault.
This hill side is easy on the eye and relaxing, a great vantage point over the vineyard of the two villages and even the Mont Blanc in fine weather. My grand father planted these 0.52 Ha in 1940.
- Tasting notes :
- The soil is very stony, which gives a bouquet of gunflint followed by aromas of lime marmalade and smoky overtones.
The palate is broad and complex, a powerful structure and a fine beam of acidity.
